Koppitsch Cruise

DETAILS: EXPLORE Koppitsch-Philosophy by tasting straight from the barrels in the cellar. Afterwards, board a trailer to visit the vineyards and taste each wine at its origin, on the soil where it grew. Finish with a joint meal together, straight at the lakefront.

Treasures of the Danube with winegrowers, Wilden Herbals and Milan Gataric’s F.E.A.S.T. (Professionals only event)

DETAILS: A half a day winegrower trip to the regions of Wachau and Kremstal along the iconic Danube river, with a contadino plus lunch by Milan Gataric of Restaurant Lux in Rotterdam and teas by Wilden Herbals.

  • vineyard breakfast in Dürnstein: Scrambled Eggs from own chicken, ham with fresh horseradish, Wachauer Laberl, apple pie or Marillenkuchen. Wilden Herbals tea or coffee.

  • four groups: Erich Machherndl, Christoph Hoch, Julie-Ann Hoch (PureJoy Botanicals) & Wabi Sabi (where one also hangs out with goats)

  • Lunch at Schloss Hollenburg with meat supplied by winemaker & deer hunter Martin Obenaus & Schwäbisch Hällische pork breeder Johannes Trapl.

Milan’s menu:

DETAILS: Karakterre partners with Vienna’s finest bistros for a five-stop zigzag of food and wine stations. Five locations. Up to ten Austrian growers at each location. The city is yours to explore!

Café Prückel: This old Viennese classic, dating back to 1903, will host Pannobile wineries, which are far from being classic! Join the avantgarde Achs-Beck-Gsellmann- Heinrich-Leitner-Nittnaus- Pittnauer-Preisinger-Renner from a civilised 1700 to 2200.

Das Goldstück: The new kid on the block with a London connection is off to a hot start with their 'Friends in Wine' event. Hosting Markus Altenburger, Sepp & Maria Muster, Franz Strohmeier, Roland Tauss, Andreas Tscheppe, Christian Tschida, Wachstum König, Michael Wenzel & Werlitsch as well as their international friends Selvadolce & Timothée Stroebel. Meinklang Hofladen: Meinklang’s Vienna outpost is not just the best breakfast&brunch place in the city, it’s also home to one of the craziest parties they hosted during Karakterre in 2022. They’re doing it again! From 1600 to END.

Vinifair: One more round of Vinifair by Vinifero, the 2024 winner of Falstaff’s Winehaendler of natural wines in Austria award. The picturesque Karmeliterplatz will host a lovely set of Austrian (Hopibauer, Meinklang, Weinbau Sackl, Quantum, Eva and Karl Schnabel, Ploder-Reosenberg, Josef Totter and Herrenhof-Lamprecht) but also international (forza Italia!) growers. The Holistic Approach: Meinklang’s First 24h Holistic Event

DETAILS: Meinklang’s first 24 hour holistic event will be a celebration of biodynamic farming, nature and wine. The aim of the event is to connect people in the nature of the Pannonian steppe.
